The past week has been a mix if interesting and boring… Weather’s been a mixed bag too… As some of you may be aware, many of you may not be, SMASH! is an anime and manga convention held annually on the first weekend of August, traditionally held at the “Roundhouse” at the University if New South Wales. But, because of such large attendance numbers last year, they moved the venue to Town Hall, as well as having it only on the Saturday, instead of the weekend. It’s late right, now, I’m tired and junk from a busy day out… Here are some of the photos so you can get a general idea of how things were, and at the very end, I’ve included some of my general thoughts about the convention. And, sadly, I didn’t have the guts to cosplay anything… If you are looking for photos of cosplayers, please visit one of my other posts. Once again, a rather uneventful week… Though school related stuff hasn’t been doing so well recently… Hrrmmm… So, my past week or two haven’t been too eventful, so there isn’t too much to post about. School’s back, and my maths test results aren’t as good as I’ve been hoping they’d be… So, my friend Taylor invited me to go see the Biennale Art Festival on Cockatoo Island, and since work hadn’t rostered me on the day he planned on going, I thought I’d tag along, having not been to Cockatoo Island before, as well as to get to know my DSLR a bit more. Continue reading The 17th Biennale Art Festival on Cockatoo Island – 17.07.2010 Hrmmm… A good few days of City trips, Desk cleanings and maths… Pretty much all I’m doing these holidays… My eyes feel so much better without my glasses on… Everytime I use my DSLR for long-ish periods of photo-ing, my eyes seem to hurt… And being around dogs doesn’t seem to help either. I love a good trip to the City, and poker, and last days at school, and spending money, and recieiving packages, and taking photos of my Anime merch and such. =D Package 11 of ?: After bailing Food Tech, I decided to pay a visit to Leon’s place, once again, as we plan on making/scripting/filming our first ‘movie’ of sorts. Martin came along too. *phew* I finally have all my assessments done this term! (4 maths tests in a row is very very icky…) My desk was piled up with various maths notes and gunk, but this afternoon, it was mainly clearer of paper… But *brrrr* it’s cold!! *grabs Snuggie* It has been a rather slow week, generally uneventful in terms of the outside world. School, work… There’s been a lot going on in regards to politics here… But in terms of things that effect me directly, four maths tests spread over today, and the next few days. Should be fun. I also received a to boxes from places I usually buy from. So more money down the drain… I’m also trying to deal with a slightly shady Nigerian Buyer on eBay… O_o Package 9 of ?: Package 10 of ?: |
