Haha, well, hasn’t 2008 been fun huh? The end of the Year of Potato! >_> Anyway, so, it seems as though many of you readers (I.e. Thomas or Bayden) have given up on my blog! (Hah, Yes! Finally! XD nah, just kidding. I LOVE YOU BAYDEN AND THOMAS!. and I hate you Daniel =D Everyone’s happy!) Or you guys are out on “holidays” visiting relatives or something. Haha, well, I’m sure you’re all having fun! Well, so anyway, I’m in a very tired mood and thus, I tend to say some of the most randomest and strangest things. (not like I don’t already but anyway) What a year it has been! Haha. I want to see what I’ve done this year.
January
So what happened in January? I don’t remember much of the first month of 2008. I know I had to replace my Creative ZEN using my warranty for the second time on the 4th. It works fine still! =D The only unfortunate things about it, is that right now, I’ve treated it rather badly and I don’t like all the scratches it has, the right tactile button is a little screwy, and that if my ZEN breaks again, I have no warranty! =( The Corny Paper was still running during this time of the year, and British Airways Flight 38 crashed on the 17th. Getting ready for school, and starting the first days of 2008 in Year 9.
February
With it being a leap year, February had 29 days! as for what happened in February… Well, I was enjoying the events of Kel and our then science teacher. Whee, maths! Getting to know my good friend Nick through Food Tech making all sorts of crappy and lame insults against each other. Other than that, not much else happened in February as I can recall.
March
*sigh* Well, the start of march, we went on that ever so memorable crap camp. Well, at least I got home on time on the way back. We had our first Maths common test, which if I can remember correctly, I scored something like 71%. Our very fun Food Tech assignment was due at the end of Term 1 where we had to write a narrative about food poisoning. Easter came a long, Daniel went off to see the delights of Europe flying Etihad Airways and a short stop over in Abu Dhabi. He was there for what? 6 weeks if I recall correctly? Start of Term 2, we get meet our 2nd of 4 science teachers!
April
Woo… Daniel came back from Germany late after Etihad overbooked their flight or something along those lines. Nick and I continued to throw lame insults at each other during Food Tech. Other than that, April was rather uneventful?
May
May is a little more eventful. Nagris hits Burma killing 130000. Earthquake rocks China and kills 70000 people. I had to hand in my Science Major project or something, which I scored 52% for. My Geography skills test got re-scheduled several times. I had my Food Tech exam as well, and I’m fairly sure I had my 2nd Maths common test sometime this month as well. I believe I scored something like 89% that time. The most recent update of The Corny Paper was on the 30th of May… Hasn’t been updated since…
June
Yay! Friday the 13th of June, my blog was created! Originally on Wordpess’s site itself, I moved it over to The Corny Paper on the 17th. From here on in, each month is gonna get a little more detailed, now that I have a blog to refer to! June began my half-kind-of-obsession with Higurashi no naku koro ni, and I had started to watch more anime from this. Got my half-yearly report on the 20th. And Ooh yay, started Tournament of Minds… Eheh… Taylor went over to Europe this month I think or something.
July
July was when I had finished watching Higurashi’s second season. Euurghh… July was also the month in which my “hate” for McDonald’s grew. (Did you know “McDonald’s” is in Firefox’s spell check?) That damn McAfrica and happen to go out on a Sunday when everything closes early! Also, World Youth Week was in Sydney that July. A lot of people in the city, and the Pope decided to be mean and drive really fast past us! Huh, Qantas cut jobs as well during July and less than two weeks later…
Okay, without the smoke, but, Qantas Flight 30 suffered a rapid decompression after an oxygen bottle exploded mid-flight and tore a hole through the plane near the wing, and had to make an emergency landing in Manilla.
August
At the begining of that month, my paper crane count was 286. The Corny Paper Boards got “hacked”. I decided to move my blog over to this site on the 8th of August. Georgia and Russia have conflict. The 2008 Beijing Olympics commenced that day as well. Woo! Burning eyes in Food Tech! Procrastination O’Plenty from my Food Tech Assignment. Daniel had his birthday party WITH NO CHEESE!?! Hey Daniel, do you know what “soap” is?! Oh ahahahaha! Tournament of Minds… We=Fail.
September
Well, procrastination ended up giving me good returns. Argentinians clearly like their rail system. Hooray for the Large Hadron Collider! Wheeeeeee! Stock Markets crash! Aeroflot Flight 821 crashes in Russia, and the cause is still unknown. I ascertained a hypothesis that intellectual dialogue can transcend you meritoriously! Fringe and The Mentalist began airing in Australia. Qantas finally recieved it’s first Airbus A380 after many delays. I finally began Death Note aswell!
October
My parents watch this fail chinese drama! Qantas has it’s 2nd notable incident in the space of 8 weeks. I find that yeast is certainly the interesting. The begining of the Spring Racing Carnival here in Australia. I finish Death Note! We get a stupid question in Maths! Freehostia died! (What’s new huh?)
November
My school testing period is over and done with and I find that people can’t spell my name correctly. Emirates Melbourne Cup Day where everyone, including me, loses money! Personality tests reveal that I don’t like revealing myself. w00t! I did decently in my final yearly exams! Freehostia dies! More people go on holidays, inculding Thomas and Daniel, although on a school excursion. Dubai continues to get crazier with a few more multi-million dollar hotels opening, notably Atlantis, The Palm. Qantas gets a new CEO as Geoff Dixon resigns!
December
Grrr at Daniel for waaayyyy too many reasons! I kill my computer unintentionally, and I welcome the Creative ZEN Stone into our family of Creative Mp3 players! Gingerbread houses are fun to make when you have Nick, Ethan and Martin as Food Tech buddies! Birds can’t fly into headwinds, and can’t fly properly into crosswinds. Neither does a car driving behind a 747 at full thrust. School’s over for 2008! I get overly confused and regret what buying what I knew I wouldn’t like. And last but not least, I write the longest blog post so far, in my blogs current lifespan with a current word count being to this point, 1142 words, and I say goodbye to the year 2008!
Thanks for “reading” my blog (not exacty sure who I’m talking to here) and I hope you’ll continue reading and learning, at most, about one tenth of my thoughts and daily life. =D
Have a Happy New Year everyone!
