Nanoha and Fate Figma Mini-Photoshoot

So, after finally opening my Fate figma about a week ago, I’ve finally gotten around to doing a photoshoot for both my Fate and Nanoha figma’s by MAX Factory. I can’t say the results for this photoshoot were as awesome as the photos I had for Bevan’s ALTER Nanoha near a month ago. Some of the images, as you will see, are rather noisy, and for some reason, my three lamps didn’t want to play very nice with lighting all the time…

All these shots are indoor, and with my makeshift “lightbox”. I’d like to see if I can get them outside sometime in the future, and see if I can get any “epic” shots of the two.

Physics I – 23.04.2010

A typical school day, where nothing truly eventful happened… Except for our physics lesson!

A big beaker full of water, with our teacher’s watch in it. (Showing refraction trickies)

OMG IT’S A STRAIGHT LINE! (Snell’s Law)

I had faith in our teacher, and that what he does was always true… but HE LIES! HE LIES I TELL YOU! (The glass disc holding the water in the jar is rather obvious with a 12x optical zoom camera)

Shirakawa-go Featured in The Sun Herald – 18.04.2010

Click on above image for enlargement.

During my lunch break on last Sunday, I was browsing through what was a generally boring Newspaper, until I ran into the Travel section of The Sun Herald from the 18th of April. At first, I was unaware that it was Shirakawa… I saw the big picture of the Grasso Huts and I asked myself “Hmmm… That looks like Shirakawa…” . I was actually surprised to find that it was an article about Shirakawa! *mind blown*

I forgot to steal the article from work when I finished, so I asked if my dad was able to somehow pull me out the travel section of a newspaper from the day before… So, he managed to get me the article, and I’ve been able to scan it, and show it to all you curious readers!

If you were unaware, Shirakawa-go is, in fact, the village Hinamizawa (from the Anime “Higurashi no naku koro ni”) is based from. Of course, there’s no mention of the… violent, and somewhat controversial anime series in the article, and more about how chilly the village gets at night, and about the historic Grasso Huts that I think are pretty awesome.

Anyway, so there’s the article about Shirakawa that I have had on my “to visit” list for a long while now. I hope to be able to go sometime 2011 once I don’t have to worry as much about school as I do now. As well as needing the money to get to Japan first…

Food Tech I – 22.04.2010

Started the day with a good cup of coffee and a school video camera!

Did some good “Taste Testing” in Food Tech today, and is what today’s photolog will be about.
It’s part on our study of “Food Quality”

Leon’s Place I – 21.04.2010

So, since we had finished school earlier than normal, I payed a trip up to our music rooms to “hang out” a bit, and where Leon, Martin, Alex and Nick did some band practise using the school’s facilities. They wanted the song they were trying to play in the background.

Then, after school, Leon’s place.

His home has become somewhat familiar to me now, having been there quite a few times recently, for our “Sleek Geek” video… Which is progressing slowly…

Mmmm… I Fail Maths – 20.04.10

So, first day back at school, and so I get some tests back… And it’s not good… 27 out of 94…

O_o

No wonder I got kicked out of top maths class eh…?

Last day of holidays… So, photoshooting my desk sorta… “Showing off” my latest wares… Also, a look at what I had planned for my website over the holidays.

I love my Cowon E2. It’s pretty and sounds awesome. (Blu-tac is pretty awesome too…)

Yeah, that’s right… TWO lamps! That’s more than Bevan has! =D (And that’s how I like to do my lighting…

And, just a quick shot of my right Gigaworks T3 speaker… Shiny…

A look into my next experimental project – 18.04.2010

A quick look into my next experimental project.

It will be similar to a vlog. I think…

You should see a result sometime next week?

Results of the Autumn break of 2010.

Grr… Not exactly happy at the results this time round… To think I had two weeks, and gotten so little done… (Well, little in my opinion) Either I can’t manage my time well enough, or that there wasn’t enough time… So, from my list that I wrote two weeks ago, here’s what I’ve completed/not completed, makred with crosses and ticks.

Budget – $200
Actual Spending – $191 in terms of general expenditure. Then add $230 for my new set of speakers, (of which, $100 was subsidised by the selling of my old ones)

Create a timetable over these holidays so I can organise myself better. (Taking work into account)
Have allocated time for Study, Anime, Tech, Projects etc.
Do serious catch up on subjects that I payed very little attention to last term.
Read book, allocated for English. (Fahrenheit 451) (Only a third of the way through)
Read book, Alice in Wonderland.
Learn to cook awesome-ish food. (Starting with Japanese, of course)
Listen through A LOT of music that I asked Leon to dump on me.

Projects that I would like to be completed.
Create a plan for my website and website content /(Yes and no as I have sort of made plans, but nothing that can be uploaded yet)
Separate my website into categories, instead of one single blog.
Complete entry for our “Sleek Geek” video
Two Experimental Projects
Clean/reorganise my room. -ish
Create/Begin AMV of any sort. (Clannad or Ookami AMVs in Mind) (Begun, but may be scrapped)
Create/Begin AMV for Umineko to Beatrice’s Character Song “Chains”

Outings
Is anyone planning a Poker Day?
Several trips around to friend’s places. (Highest priority: Bevan’s for his just arrived Nanoha figure)
Only ONE trip down to City. (Still variable though, as priorities change quickly) (Only one and a half =D)
Tea Party?
Disney Marathon? (And was awesome.)

Anime that MUST be seen/followed/completed:
Code Geass: Lelouch if the Rebellion
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
My Neighbour Totoro
Summer Wars
Ouran High School Host Club
Angel Beats!

Gadgets:
Buy Netbook/Laptop (Very unlikely)

Not-needed but Anime stuff I am likely to buy.
Place pre-orders (Nanoha Puchi Nendoroids, and the OP/ED CD for Angel Beats!)
A wall scroll maybe of some sort. (but shipping them is expensive)

Maybe I should stop planning these slightly ambitious plans… They make me feel depressed and make me think I can’t do anything… Also, considering that 60 hours of work over the holidays pretty much means I also attended 10 days of school as well (‘cept for the transport).

I also ran into a few hiccups during the holidays, namely when my computer got some super annoying malware after me trying to find video codecs for my computer and trying to get my Sony Vegas to recognise them. As a result, my computer was out of action for a day as I re-installed Windows.

As a result, I can’t say I was completely satisfied with the results of my Autumn break… But time off school was nice… I guess…

Unboxing Fate Figma – 17.04.2010

Finally got round to unboxing my Fate figma that I got… 3 weeks ago? Or thereabouts….

I might do a complete photoshoot later on with my Nanoha figma as well later on…

If only I could get me a Fate Nendoroid as well….
