General Entry – 29.09.2011

Ahhh… School’s over and yet it isn’t… With school technically finished, all that’s left is our HSC and and then it is a few months of freedom!!! (with one month of worrying about our results…) But in that intermediary between graduation and studying for my HSC, there’s room for a little fun, and so we decided to celebrate a bit with a little trip to Ribs and Rumps at Macquarie Park, among other places, and I’ve spent some time experimenting with some photography and with a new Digital Audio Converter one of my friends bought.

We went a little too far decorating a drawing of Kyubey…)

With exams over, there were a load of birthdays to get through, futures to be planned, and just overall busyness!

Photoshoot – Tenshi by Good Smile Company

Picked up a beautiful Angel a good time ago, sadly, not for me, but as a birthday present for my good friend Bevan, who also allowed me to do a small photoshoot too. And so, some of the photos and my thoughts about one of Good Smile Company’s latest figures.

So, my trial exams are finally over! (Hence a lack of activity on my blog) Pretty sure I didn’t do all that well in them, but they are over now and I can get a little bit of my life back.
And so, With trials over, we can PARTAYYY! A number of my friends are celebrating their coming of age (18) now, and so will I in the coming few days! ^^

Back to school today… Not the most fun day, but rarely is school ever fun.
And school… that’s now what I’m blogging about today.

My July winter holidays was an interesting mix of doing nothing, and several rather standout highlights.
For me, there was plenty of good food, money being thrown around here and there… You know, whatever an under 18 can do legally. =P

SMASH! – Anime and Manga Convention – 2011

Sydney’s Annual “SMASH!’ is one of few anime conventions held here in Australia. After selling out in after moving to a bigger venue last year, this year, SMASH! moved again, this time to the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

Here’s my quick write up and some photos from my SMASH!-ing experience.

Well, first up, Happy Birthday Mugi-chan~!

Now,
The past month of June has been rather mean to me, which is why I’ve been rather inactive on blogging; despite it being my third year of blogging…
I have been sick for almost two weeks, which meant that having all my term three exams hit me when I returned back to school resulted in a lot of stress and late nights for me, which doesn’t help a recovery…

Maybe it was a just a small version of Oyashiro-sama’s curse, considering it was Watanagashi, but I don’t want to talk about the negatives… Here are just some of my postitives. =D

Phew… The past month has been so slow yet so long… School is such a strain and it’s holding me back from blogging… I received my half-yearly report to the dissatisfaction of my parents, (not surprised) and I really do need to pick my game for a good education if I’m to get anywhere in my future life right? But that hasn’t really stopped me from going out and about recently, which you will find, is mostly about food. =P

(What you see above is a Tuna Tataki dish from “Kushiyaki Azuma” a fairly classy Japanese Restaurant tucked away in “Regents Place” behind the George Street Cinemas in Sydney.)

Brainwavz M3 IEM Earphones – Unboxing

Just recently one of my friends (Geoff in case you were wondering) bought a pair of Brainwavz M3 IEMs (In ear monitors) to my skepticism. When he first mentioned the brand, I was quick to dismiss it as some bass-heavy earphone that would generally squash anything that isn’t bass. In fact, I had never heard of the brand before, and thought the name was incredibly cheesy, and similar to another mainstream bass-heavy brand “Skullcandy”. As it turns out, “Brainwavz” is one of many Chinese brands, along with “SoundMagic” and “Fiio”, that are pushing into the market with what are being presented as cheap-high-quality audio solutions for the average consumer. So, I was curious to try them anyway, to see whether or not they are real competitors to the well established brands such as Sennheiser and Ultimate Ears.

Wow… It’s been a month since I last made a post… The past few weeks have been loaded with exams (which despite more than usual study, has produced results that aren’t what I could/should be getting…) but now that they’re over, it’s time for the Autumn break! (Which, I’m already quickly approaching the half-way of…)
