Okay, as you know, there are many, wonderful and wacky videos posted on YouTube… It’s not often that I find something, and am immediately inclined to post it onto my blog…
It’s not some crazy super-flashy AMV, nor is it one of the many MAD videos that you often find on NicoNico.
No, it’s an instrumental medley of select tracks from Angel Beats!, as well as a few other Key Works, and it is simply amazing… I love hunting down user-made instrumental versions of Anime OPs and EDs and various other pieces, and I ran into the channel, “violinpiano2“. They produce some beautiful violin and/or piano covers of many anime works, including Angel Beats!, K-ON!, Haruhi, CLANNAD, and many other anime.

Okay, so this time, it was time to celebrate my birthday!
Shannon gave me this little Dinosaur plush. I decided that it’d be a she, and her name is Misuzu, named after the main character from the anime “Air”, where she believes that dinosaurs made the noise “gao*
So, it was recently my good friend Leon‘s Birthday, and so today Leon, Shannon, Nick and I went down to Darling Harbour to go eat some foods from a place we normally wouldn’t eat at ‘cos we’re poor and stuff… =D

As some of you may be aware, many of you may not be, SMASH! is an anime and manga convention held annually on the first weekend of August, traditionally held at the “Roundhouse” at the University if New South Wales. But, because of such large attendance numbers last year, they moved the venue to Town Hall, as well as having it only on the Saturday, instead of the weekend.
It’s late right, now, I’m tired and junk from a busy day out… Here are some of the photos so you can get a general idea of how things were, and at the very end, I’ve included some of my general thoughts about the convention.
And, sadly, I didn’t have the guts to cosplay anything…
Yaaaayayayayyay! Hrmmm… Okay, so I kinda need to stop losing things… Just a week ago, I lazily exchanged $1.50 and a cup of Mi-goreng noodles from a local supermarket, for my school folder that contained all my Physics, English and Food Tech notes, as well as some sheets from Economics, Maths and Engineering. I went back the next day, to be told to come back the next day… And when I did, they told me that it was “thrown out” because they had to clean the place out for a new manager or something… Yay…?
Then, just yesterday, I lost my mobile phone… I mean… I never really considered it mine as it was past down from me from my parents… It was a standard old Nokia 6300 that was falling apart, and my credit expired today too… So really, I didn’t mind losing it too much, except for the timing… Which would mean I’d be without a phone until September/Windows Mobile 7… But what I’m going to relate to as ‘fate’, around mid-day today, my parents got a phone call from one of my old school friends Matt, who somehow… managed to find my phone!
Somewhat confused… but hey… if he does have it… I guess that’s a good thing… Save some money on the short term I guess? I should get it back sometime this week, I just need to organise a meet-up sometime soon. Thanks Matt!
In other school related stuff in relation to me… (and stuff) finally finished two terrible narratives for English, with one of the narratives we had to base off something that reminded me (and Bevan) of the short anime “5 Centimetres Per Second“…
As you may have noticed, I have completely changed the layout of my blog, photolog, and site in general. I had been planning on doing something like this ever since I started blogging, and have finally gotten around to doing so. So here it is! gochisou-deshita.net ver.2.0! (Or… The Corny Paper ver.13.0) =P But “The Corny Paper” is in the past, and I’ve moved on from that.
Anyway, I’m proud to have a new layout up and running, and with a new universal layout and system, both reading and navigating should be much easier for both you, and writing and organising will be easier for me.
