Once again, a rather uneventful week… Though school related stuff hasn’t been doing so well recently… Hrrmmm… So, my past week or two haven’t been too eventful, so there isn’t too much to post about. School’s back, and my maths test results aren’t as good as I’ve been hoping they’d be… Okay… So, after finding that I’ve earned well over 6000 for the 2009-10 financial year, and finding that I have less than what I had at the beginning of the that financial year, I got thinking… “Where the hell does my money go?!?!?” If my spending habits continue as they are at the moment… I have no idea how I’ll have enough money to go to Japan after I complete High School… So, I thought I’d begin by doing some New Financial Year Resolutions… See if they’ll work… (They probably won’t… but optimism…?) But first, some statistics that I cry over: — 50% has been spent on Consumer Electronics — 15% on Anime, and Anime related Merchandise Which leaves about 35% of my money expenditure on general crap. I’d guestimate that something only another 15% has been spent on things I can physically prove are mine… Anyway, onto the plans! What WILL be bought this financial year: What is LIKELY to be bought: In addition to who knows what I might take an interest to in the future… What am I going to do about it? 1. At least 25% of each weeks earnings will go towards the Trip to Japan fund, as well as a general sort of “better future” fund. Those are my current ‘rules’… Not sure how well they’ll be followed… But they don’t sound overly restricting do they…? And it doesn’t really, actually help me save my money/reduce my general expenditure… So, my friend Taylor invited me to go see the Biennale Art Festival on Cockatoo Island, and since work hadn’t rostered me on the day he planned on going, I thought I’d tag along, having not been to Cockatoo Island before, as well as to get to know my DSLR a bit more. Continue reading The 17th Biennale Art Festival on Cockatoo Island – 17.07.2010 Hrmmm… A good few days of City trips, Desk cleanings and maths… Pretty much all I’m doing these holidays… It’s been 6 months since I got these two figurines, and I never got round to doing a full photoshoot with them… I have used them for experimenting in my dodgy made lightbox, and the results haven’t been as great as I have been expecting. Even now, I’m finding that doing a good, plain photoshoot still hasn’t produced the kind of quality I’ve been looking for, but nevertheless, after taking hundreds of shots, here are some of the results. I do hope to do an outdoors photoshoot and get better results sometime in the future… But time is hard to find these days. Rika-chama~! ^.^ Continue reading Photoshoot (Lightbox) – Furude Rika and Hanyuu by Wave My eyes feel so much better without my glasses on… Everytime I use my DSLR for long-ish periods of photo-ing, my eyes seem to hurt… And being around dogs doesn’t seem to help either. I love a good trip to the City, and poker, and last days at school, and spending money, and recieiving packages, and taking photos of my Anime merch and such. =D Package 11 of ?: After bailing Food Tech, I decided to pay a visit to Leon’s place, once again, as we plan on making/scripting/filming our first ‘movie’ of sorts. Martin came along too. Yeah… So, I only managed one blog post last month… and it wasn’t even a very interesting one…. Anyway, I’ve got the Winter holidays on now, (thank god!) and I hope to return to a normal blogging pace for (for a while at least). It does look to be like another really filled up holidays with lots of various plans that means there will be few days where I’ll be free and entirely at home from the looks of things… Which also means there will be a lot of money disappearing all over the place… As with all my ‘what do I plan on doing’ pots, I rarely end up doing most of what’s on the list… But anyway, I still try… Budget hoping will be kept under – $200 (I really don’t have money to throw around right now…) Generally Projects that I would like to be completed. Outings Anime that SHOULD be seen/followed/completed: (I’ve used the word ‘must’ in the other ‘plan’ lists…) Plan on buying: There isn’t all that much on this list compared to my previous lists… That should mean I have a better chance of completing all of them aye? Haha, funny joke… Well, I hope to get most of these done during the hols… *sigh* so little time… |
