Producing eloquent and intellectual dialogue can transcend you meritoriously! I ascertained this hypothesis subsequently after an acquaintance of mine referred to as “Cameron” answered a question written on a white board as “A racially divided community with no pretensions of materialism”. My mentor (although you may seldomly refer to her as a “mentor”) praised him with a signal of acknowledgment and commendation, which presented a certainty, that use of intellectual dialogue excels you beyond those who do not. Production of such complexity in terms of dialogue proves to be of paramount difficulty. For Cameron however, generating such sophisticated language proves to be virtually effortless. I believe I shall cease using such complexity in language from now on.
Okay, that paragraph, even using a thesaurus took about half an hour for me to write and I’m glad I’m not going to use such big words from now on. (Well, this post at least…) I’m sure you were fairly impressed by my use of such big words and I am also sure that I have excelled quite a bit now. I don’t quite like the English teacher I have now. At the time my class was presented with the task, we all had 26 hours to complete a 2 page draft at home of an assessment that we will be writing in class. I now have about 20 hours to do it but I probably won’t start till I get to school again tomorrow.
One of my friends has presented to me a nice little theory about the crash of Aeroflot-Nord Flight 821. His theory was that the flight controls went into a reversal. (Where when you try to descend, your plane ascends and vice-versa) This event happened to at least 2 737’s since 1991 where the aircraft crashed after the aircraft made violent downward-spiral motions when the rudder of the aircraft suffered a “hard-over” and also went into reversal. Reversal makes sense since the plane ascended when it was supposed to descend, and turned left when it was supposed to turn right. Although this Boeing 737 was a different version compared to the other two incidents. My knowledge about reversals is very little, however it should be interesting if this is the case.

With a lot of posts recently about Qantas, I thought I’d get back to posting a bit more about my daily happenings. Today is August the 4th, which means that it’s Geoffery’s Birthday today. (I’m not quite sure how is name is actually spelt because if memory serves me right, he has a weird spelling) Heh, well, Happy Birthday to him eh? (Probably the only time his name will be mentioned in this blog). Anyway, So I plan to re-cap over events that have happened in my daily life for the past week. I’ve been rather bored these days, (hence the creation and posts of my blog) and have gotten rather lazy when it comes to school work, and other planned projects such as that whole major site revamp thing.
Remember a while ago, how I was procrastinating to do that English Essay for “Touching The Void“? Well, I finally got my mark for that Essay and I got 12 out of 15. Not bad, although I heard that the highest mark in the “smart class” was like 13 or something but that’s probably because they got a harsh marker… I rarely, if ever, get above 75% for an assessment task, especially in English! What’s even more surprising (to me) is that I got 82% (if memory serves right) for a test in Science! I too, rarely, get anything higher than 80% in Science as well! Even more shocked when I recently was told that at the moment, I’ve got the highest mark in the class for another Science test! (Which I highly doubt and if it is true, then my class must be really bad at science!)
Damn those people who have no lives! Not going to mention any names here for now, but I know that some people in my school are obsessed with trying to “hack” into things, and so with these “hackers”, they’ve managed to get into Nickolas’s account on my forums. Got his password is stupid… So, partially him to blame but I’m not going to go into that that much… Heh, I’m quite surprised to find that I only have 286 paper cranes in total right now. I’m out of paper. I need to find some paper, cut them into squares, and make more paper cranes. It’s what I do when I’m bored now, fold paper cranes that is… Anyway, that’s all from me for now. Hopefully I’ll have something interesting to add tomorrow!

Hehehehe… Well this is what I should be writing about right now for my English Assessment… I am to write a review to the documentary, “Touching the Void” (Film version). I am probably not going to get a very good mark for my review (i never really do well in English) but I thought that I may as well review it here just because it may help me write my review… Note that this is not my actual review for my English Assessment…
“Touching the Void” was originally a book written by Joe Simpson and was adapted to as a film/documentary. This documentary explores and retells the events that took place as two mountaineers climbed Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. The two climbers, Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, managed to climb the mountain without too much of a problem, It was getting down the mountain that was the hard part. While climbing down, Joe Simpson broke his leg after losing grip on a steep slope thingy. Simon must now help Joe, having a broken leg, get down the rest of the mountain since not all went to plan.
This documentary was very entertaining as it had accurate and very realistic re-enactments. The interviews with Joe, Simon and Richard (The person who took care of base camp while Joe and Simon climbed the mountain) added to the authenticity and the feel of this docudrama and accompanied the re-enactments perfectly. The story of survival was certainly very well told and very well dramatised. The film was nominated for 12 awards of which 5 were won (as of time of review).
Probably one of the most notable parts, is when Joe was starting to become delirious and he got the song, “Brown Girl In The Ring” (hence review title name), stuck in his head and he thought “Bloody hell… I’m gonna die to Boney M”… I found that this documentary was certainly one of the best documentaries I’ve seen and I found that there was very little bad things to be said about this film. I certainly hope I get a good mark for my English Assessment as I feel that this “Review” did not help me at all…
Overall Rating – 9.5 out of 10

Well, on the weekend, I went to Sam’s place for his birthday (those who know me should know where he lives and so therefore the reason of the title) along with another two people known to me as Coby and Julian. Anyway, none of us got much sleep that night… In fact, Sam was the one to get the most sleep and got more than Julian, Coby and I combined got… That was fun… We spent most of the time playing “Grand Theft Auto IV” and crashing cars and helicopters and stuff…
I got my half-yearly report on Friday, and all of my marks were above average but they still were pretty terrible… Which reminds me, I have an English Assessment task thing due next week that I’ve just started to do and I have a science sheet thingy due soon as well… My Science Major Assignment mark was not that great either. Daniel kinda beat me by over 32% or something. I only did it pretty much the night before it was due so I guess I deserved it… Looks like I should be doing better in science if I actually tried doing stuff… Along with other work…
Hm, Tournaments of the Minds… Something that I’ve done twice in previous years, which means that this’ll be my 3rd Tournaments of the Minds thing… We got a fun 80 or something page instruction manual thing which I’m probably not going to read anytime soon but you never know. Should be fun huh? Well, it was fun the previous two times…
