Busy busy busy weeks… The last few days of January was a busy time for me, and the start of school marking the beginning of what is going to be an incredibly busy and stressful year.

November was an unusually dry month… and by dry, I mean, lacking interesting content rather than unseasonal… In fact, we’ve actually had quite a bit of rain… But yeah, so this goanna water dragon payed a visit to our school earlier in November…
Unfortunately, there really hasn’t been anything eventful ever since the end of the Holidays. I have been loaded with a lot of maths homework, and it has been rather annoying. I feel incredibly envious of those who have just completed their HSC… Can’t wait for mine to be over! :: School Related The results of my other tests weren’t very good for my standards… Generally hovering around the course average for all my subjects, which is somewhat worrying if I want to get an ATAR of 96 to get into Architecture in Uni… Considering joining the Formal Committee after being nagged by the current members, (though particularly Shannon and Janice…) Am in talks with Leon about whether we want to join/plan to strike some form of deal. However, Leon and I have written ourselves down for the Yearbook Committee, which should be interesting… :: Anime Related Been watching “Bakuman” and “” as part of the Fall season of Anime. Both have been great so far and I’m loving all the references to ‘real anime and otakudom’ in “My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute”. I won’t be posting too much about them unless something incredibly notable comes up. Though my good friend Leon is keeping up with them and regularly posting his thoughts of some of the other anime that’s being shown this season on his blog. :: Technology/Gadget Related My Shure SE420 Earphones (that I got in exchange for a continually breaking pair of Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Extended Bass Earphones) have been sent in to get a frequency response check after the lack of bass in them finally led me to ask if there was a possible fault with my earphones… Will see how that goes.
Hrmm… Random, I know, but hey… One of my friends brought a bag of gummy bears and I wanted to try and see if I could get some epic shots with them… Though, these photos show that there’s still a lot I still have to learn about photography… Continue reading Half an hour with Gummy Bears and a Rusty Nail Despite today’s rain and gloom, I’ve found it to be a rather pleasant day actually. Going to and from walk, I seemed to be in a rather good mood. It was somewhat… nostalgic? Walking at a calm pace, umbrella up, enjoying the sights and sounds from the light rain that was falling… A cool and mild temperature was accompanied by a slight breeze that gave you a sense that everything was right with the world… I’m not the most descriptive person in the world, but I think you can kinda get my idea. Despite having to work today, (where it was incredibly busy) it was a delightfully relaxed day, and I feel nice and relaxed at the moment… Why can’t days just always be like this? Maybe it’s just my brain reacting to what lays ahead, and what’s happened the week before… Loads of assignments, which have been done and dusted (thankfully), but a wave of exams up ahead… Should be an exciting and stressful week(s) ahead… My last three assignments were rather rushed, and I don’t expect to be doing too well in those as a result… (I don’t even care about Engineering anymore…) Blog related – I’m just playing around with the current layout a bit… Fixing some of the errors that I’ve only just noticed, and generally streamlining the navigation system in general. Other news, my Mum’s currently in in the wonderfully polluted and currently hot and muggy city of Shanghai and she stole my camera. As a result, don’t expect any photolog posts for two weeks or so. (Except for Animania, which is just one week away.)
Lots of study, food, birds, signs of Spring, and money spending the past week, and probably in the future too. It’s been a modest week since my last post, as usual. Assessments and exams creeping up on me too…
The past week has been a mix if interesting and boring… Weather’s been a mixed bag too… Yaaaayayayayyay! Hrmmm… Okay, so I kinda need to stop losing things… Just a week ago, I lazily exchanged $1.50 and a cup of Mi-goreng noodles from a local supermarket, for my school folder that contained all my Physics, English and Food Tech notes, as well as some sheets from Economics, Maths and Engineering. I went back the next day, to be told to come back the next day… And when I did, they told me that it was “thrown out” because they had to clean the place out for a new manager or something… Yay…? Then, just yesterday, I lost my mobile phone… I mean… I never really considered it mine as it was past down from me from my parents… It was a standard old Nokia 6300 that was falling apart, and my credit expired today too… So really, I didn’t mind losing it too much, except for the timing… Which would mean I’d be without a phone until September/Windows Mobile 7… But what I’m going to relate to as ‘fate’, around mid-day today, my parents got a phone call from one of my old school friends Matt, who somehow… managed to find my phone! Somewhat confused… but hey… if he does have it… I guess that’s a good thing… Save some money on the short term I guess? I should get it back sometime this week, I just need to organise a meet-up sometime soon. Thanks Matt! In other school related stuff in relation to me… (and stuff) finally finished two terrible narratives for English, with one of the narratives we had to base off something that reminded me (and Bevan) of the short anime “5 Centimetres Per Second“… And… WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! (Not really… Far from it actually…)
*phew* I finally have all my assessments done this term! (4 maths tests in a row is very very icky…) My desk was piled up with various maths notes and gunk, but this afternoon, it was mainly clearer of paper… But *brrrr* it’s cold!! *grabs Snuggie*
