It’s the season of Spring now! You know what that means? Crazy unpredictable weather, pollen and bees! Yay!!!
But aside from those minor annoyances, it’s also the season associated with new life, and this rings true for a few of my friends who have made some relatively significant strides in their lives over the past two months, and I’m incredibly excited for them. =)

A Food Experience – Sake Restaurant and Bar

Rather late to be posted but on, July the 27th, I, along with my sister and two of her friends crossed off another Sydney foodies “bucket-list” item. Sake Restaurant and Bar is located at The Rocks in Sydney and is a One-Hatted Restaurant in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2013, and has been for a good while. This is a quick post about our small experience (Mainly images of some of what we ordered, as well as some minor comments) at this trendy restaurant.

Another crazy month. Being mid-year university break, much of the entire month is spent slaving at my part-time job, or going to meet-ups to meet friends old and new, some by coincidence, most by near last minute organisation. Most of them involved food/coffee so this Photo Diary contains quite a few pieces of food and drink.

SMASH! – Anime and Manga Convention – 2012

SMASH! -Sydney Manga and Anime Show- (not “Sydney Manga Show”…) is one of three, major conventions in Sydney that celebrate Japanese pop culture, held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in the heart of the City’s Darling Harbour precinct. The convention has grown rather quickly in popularity, and has become large enough to earn a mention in the prime-time light-entertainment program “The Project.” Run entirely by volunteers, this year’s convention was most definitely their biggest yet, with the site’s auditorium close to capacity at the show’s main event,
I was delighted to attend again this year and the following quick post is of my experience at this year’s convention.

A Food Experience – Tetsuya’s

On the night of Wednesday, July 11th, my loyal food buddy Nick and I crossed off one of a long list of food experiences on what could be called our own “bucket-list”. Being the intelligent fellows we are, we decided to also use this opportunity to celebrate one of my Japanese-anime-culture friend’s 18th birthday as well. This was our experience at the world renowned restaurant, Tetsuya’s.
