Autumn – My favourite season of all four seasons. Cooler temperatures, earlier nights, beautiful yellow, orange, red and browns line streets and pathways… Sunsets seem more pretty too… To me at least.
But alas, our lives as puny humans running from X to Y (then back to X again) everyday continues.
Just part of this mad scramble includes probably the most scrappiest assignment I’ve ever submitted in my education life so far. Working in group assignments can be the most frustrating thing ever… You could probably see the sigh of both surprise and relief on my face when we got our task back… Less likely for me to fail now that there’s a bit of a confidence boost. Though I should probably pick up my pace too… I’m just scraping through pass marks for my core subjects. =.=;
My University Timetable doesn’t allow time for participation in my Uni’s Anime Club activities which is somewhat sad. I’d love to get back into the world of otaku culture and mingle with some fellow otaku for a bit seeing as I’ve never had much of an opportunity to. Might help if I broke my five month anime drought…
I’ve managed to get a tiddy-bit of manga into me through the purchase of the first volume of translated Madoka Magica manga. It’s a little dissatisfying how fast the pace is (one chapter = one episode) but I’m glad I’m getting a dose of Madoka back into me without having to spend 20 minutes for one episode…
Does everyone eventually reach a stage of Uni life where you think you’re seeing people from High School everywhere but they’re clearly not?
Seems to be happening to me everywhere I go at Uni now… Ultra-thankful for my beer-loving food-tech buddy Nick for getting a bunch of us together for a birthday outing at the Bavarian Bier Cafe on York Street, Sydney. It was an honour sharing a tasting platter with him, and enjoying a surprisingly good beer infused with mango juice with my high school friends.
My 10 month old HTC Mozart decided to pick a fight with a tiled floor earlier in the month. As you can see, the floor won, and left an insect-wing-like crack through the middle of it, and took the removable back as a trophy too…
I would have been relatively fine with using the device despite it’s cosmetic defect (I’m able to see past it now) but it’s the missing back-piece that has been causing me the most trouble; not only making the battery vulnerable of disconnecting, but it also served a vital part of the antenna design I am finding. Dodgier than usual 3G reception, and downright no-reception whatsoever where I live now, I carry this more simply for social connections and an older Motorola DROID/Milestone for phone/text purposes… The three year old Moto is some seriously out-of-date software (especially Motoblur) and some hardware parts of the keypad are failing too… But it’s what I’m using while my Mozart is out of action…
