Okay, so I don’t normally do posts like this, and… I don’t normally listen to Lady Gaga… Really, all I know is “Raaa-raaa-raa-aa-a! Romma-raaa-aaa!”… but after listening to a CNET’s Mp3 Insider podcast a while back, and the recent “First Look” video at the Monster Beat’s “Lady Gaga Heartbeats” In-ear earphones, (I WANT THAT SQUID/OCTOPUS SHE’S WEARING) it prompted me to watch the music video, as senior editor Jasmine France noticed the fair amount of Monster Beats advertising in the music video. I mean, the video itself is crazy enough, and now I know why they say Lady Gaga is so… weird…

So, the first image, (above) shows Lady Gaga, or “Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta”, wearing the “Lady Gaga Heartbeats” in-ear earphone, in the music video. CNET describes these headphones as “uncomfortable” and “overly-bass heavy”, which Monster Beats is known for… But… Lady Gaga must like these earphones… So… if you’re weird like her… maybe you should go out and buy a pair…? For just $119.95, you too, can listen to music like Lady Gaga does, and listen to Lady Gaga’s music with them! Wouldn’t that be awesome?

The above image is from the very beginning of the music video, and as you can see, there is “Monster” written on the side of one of those… pods? Really, this is the first indication that “Monster” would be advertised in the video, but I never expected something like the image you see below.

Laptops with the “Monster Beats by Dr. Dre” logo as well as a pair of “Monster Beats – Studio” headphones on the end laptop there… Monster makes earphones that clearly stand out, and these Lady Gaga “Heartbeat” earphones are no exception. I can say I like the look of most of the Monster Beats earphones, it’s just the Lady Gaga Heartbeats ones that aren’t really… that attractive. I also remember when the Consumer Electronics Show was on back in January, and Lady Gaga was there as the “main celebrity” for the exhibition… Does she even know what CES is about?

Well, one thing’s for sure, these Lady Gaga “Heartbeats” earphones are not going to be on my “want to buy” list, anytime soon…
