I’m somewhat depressed… The holidays are almost over, and come Monday, I should probably get down to do some serious business… In terms of study… But I won’t whinge about that now… This post is about reminiscing the Spring Holidays of 2010 in photo form, which has been jam-packed with social outings and stuff. One of the best holidays ever. =D
21.09 – Jam at Nick’s Pad. Got to see how Nick styled his newly obtained ‘pad’. (Essentially a granny flat formerly occupied by his older sister) Somewhat jealous… =P
Ben showed off his creative and pro cooking skills creating a “Chocolate Mud Cheese Cake” which… was… weird…
24.09 – City Trip in a large group that eventually split to celebrate the end of our exam period! Went and spent some money at Lindt Cafe in Darling Harbour, as well as some Karaoke in the Capitol Theatre building. We also accidentally discovered “The Secret Room Cafe”, more about that at the end of the post.
30.09 – Ben’s Birthday, where we ate lots and lots of food… So much food… There was lots of food left over… Oh wow… Kinda wonder what happened to all that food after we all left…
Yeah, I’m no gamer, and definitely not a Brawler… (Despite my Asian heritage…)
For some reason, most dogs I know are incredibly hyper-active. Ben’s dog “Toby” is somewhat crazy if you ask me. XD We had like, four different balls and whenever we threw them, he’d go after them as if it was his life goal or something… It’s kinda cute… =P
An action shot which is somewhat obviously photo-shopped to be “sharper”…
Usagi-san who caused a small blood-fes when it pretty much scratched anyone who touched it…
01.10 – Leon’s place to watch some Anime. (after I failed an attempt to host an Anime Marathon)
He should soon have one more box to add to that collection, with only Volume 2 of that actual series. (Most of those boxes are incomplete XD)
A container labeled “Leon’s small cars” which Bevan and I got curious about and so we decided to open it…
Throughout the holidays, I’ve been trying to do some serious reorganisation of my room. I have plenty of space so to speak, but there doesn’t appear to be any because I’m not utilising it correctly. I hope to complete it by tomorrow.
5-6.10 – Tom’s Movie Marathon + Ice Skating. Not many photos to take except for the amount of vegetables that we ate during that period… Yeah, lots of meat basically. We watched “Mean Girls”, The 1966 film version of “Batman”, “The Boat that Rocked”, “Kung Pow: Enter the Fist!” and “School of Rock”.
Another trip to the City, this time to uncover the secrets of “The Secret Room” (as mentioned earlier)
There isn’t much information about the place, (they don’t have a website) and we discovered it accidentally. If I had more photos I might write a dedicated blog post about it, but what you need to know about it is that it’s AWESOME. It’s a stylish modern place which as 7 themed “Secret Rooms” and inside are a number of different entertainment choices (Games both electronic and board, room service, internet ). We went into one of two “VIP rooms” for one hour and played some hearty Wii and basically enjoyed ourselves. Outside in the lobby-like area, there’s a pool table, board-games, darts, a few couches. It’s definitely a nice place to hang out at.
I ordered one of their parfaits which to me was really awesome. Sugary sweet goodness! Lots of Ice Cream, fruit, a wafer, a stick pretzel, strawberry sauce, and some corn flakes! My friends ordered a few smoothies which they commented on were pretty good too!
If I remember correctly, the VIP room was $45 for one hour, other smaller rooms are $6 per person, per hour.
It is located at 636-638 George Street, Sydney, on the north side of World Square near the Hungry Jacks. There’s a Korean Karaoke place above it.
We know we’ll be going there sometime again!
I found your post via a search for Secret Room. 🙂 Only just realised you’re a fellow anime fan, so hooray!
Also, the black bunny looks so fluffy! Did the person touching him/her in the picture end up getting scratched too? XD
Haha. Well, thanks for visiting!
It seems rather difficult to find information about The Secret Room… I guess it’s true to it’s name then eh? XD
Unfortunately yeah… If I remember correctly, everyone who held her got some scratches on them… 🙁
